Birthday Party For Thad in Stevens, PA
This April 4 the Thaddeus Stevens Society will hold a birthday party for Thad at
the Pennsylvania town named in his honor. The event will be held at 2 p.m. at the
fire hall at 91 Stevens Road in Stevens, PA, which is near Ephrata.
We will have a birthday cake and other refreshments along with a talk by Society
president Ross Hetrick about Thaddeus Stevens and how the town came to be
named after the Great Commoner. The birthday party is a chance for Stevens
residents to learn about the namesake of their town.
