The Thaddeus Stevens Society will meet on Saturday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at Dunlap's
Restaurant, 90 Buford Avenue, in Gettysburg, PA.
We will be electing officers for the next year and discussing plans for our 2012
observance of Stevens's 220th birthday and a proposal for a Thaddeus Stevens Institute.

The annual graveside ceremony to mark Thaddeus Stevens's birth will be held on
Friday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m. at the Shreiner-Concord Cemetery at Chestnut and
Mulberry Streets in Lancaster, PA. Click here for story.
The Thaddeus Stevens Society has donated $500 to the restoration of the cemetery
where Thaddeus Stevens is buried and plans to contribute more in the coming month.

Thad will get an additional birthday party this year on Saturday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at
the park offices of the Caledonia State Park near Chambersburg, PA.
The event will include a talk about Thaddeus Stevens by Ross Hetrick and a walking
tour of the remains of Stevens's iron works by the park's naturalist, Wesley Foltz,
