The Thaddeus Stevens Elementary
School in Chambersburg will get what it
has always needed – a big picture of
its namesake.
The Society will present a
reproduction of an 1898 print of
Thaddeus Stevens on April 17 at 1 p.m.
The framed print will be given by
Thaddeus Stevens – as played by
Ross Hetrick, president of the Society.
Hetrick, who has played Stevens in the
past, will have his work cut out for him
explaining the importance of Stevens to
student in the first through fifth grade.
